    Russel Wilson Next Team Odds

One of the most prominent players featured in the DraftKings NFL team odds is Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently the betting favorites to land Wilson in 2024 at +100 odds.

The Broncos have the next best odds at +350 to retain Wilson, in part because Coach Sean Payton has left the door open for Wilson to return with a restructured contract. Other top potential landing spots with odds for Wilson include the Falcons (+450), Patriots (+450), Raiders (+650), and Vikings (+1000).

Wilson is unlikely to approve any trade from the Broncos as he can become a free agent and handpick his next team. Furthermore, most expect Denver to release him. If released, Wilson could sign for cheap with a new team as the Broncos would still owe him $39 million guaranteed in 2024.

Our Russell Wilson next team prediction is going to be the Falcons. Raheem Morris’ team appears a quarterback away from being able to contend in the weak AFC West Division. The Falcons have playmakers on their roster, plus talented running backs in Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier. This makes Atlanta an enticing landing spot for the veteran pivot.

    • Pick: Atlanta Falcons (+450)

    Justin Fields Next Team Odds

The Bears have not yet decided on whether they will keep or trade Fields, yet DraftKings is listing the Pittsburgh Steelers as heavy -125 favorites to land the 24-year-old. Other top potential destinations include the Falcons, Patriots, Raiders, and Broncos.

The reason for the Justin Fields trade rumors is because the Bears hold the #1 pick in the 2024 draft and could draft a QB like Caleb Williams, making Fields potentially disposable. A trade package for Fields would likely involve at least a 2nd round pick. The Patriots (#3 overall) and Falcons (#8 overall) own picks that could be appealing to the Bears in a deal.

Fields took strides in 2023, cutting down interceptions and showing his rushing ability. He has support in the Bears locker room but his long-term fit with the new coaching staff is uncertain. Good scheme fits for Fields include the Steelers, Falcons, Raiders, and Seahawks – teams that would utilize his mobility and allow him to play to his strengths.

We’re buying into the Fields to the Steelers hype. Arthur Smith’s run-heavy offense could fit nicely with Fields’ mobility, and wide receivers George Pickens would give Fields the first true WR tandem of his career. Trading for Fields could be the key to sparking this Steelers’ offensive attack.

    • Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers (-125)

    Kirk Cousins Next Team Odds

Unlike some of these NFL next team odds, where a new team is favored to land a star player, Kirk Cousins is favored to re-sign with his current team. The Vikings remain the betting favorites (-200 odds) to re-sign Cousins.

Kirkins has expressed interest in returning and the team wants him back, but his market value and recovery from injury create complications. The Atlanta Falcons have the next best odds at +300 to land Cousins if he reaches free agency. They have a clear need at QB, cap space to make a competitive offer, and connections to Atlanta that could appeal to Cousins.

Ultimately, we think there’s a very strong chance Cousins returns to Minnesota. He’s a family man who has developed great chemistry with his coach Kevin O’Connell. Considering Cousins is settled down in the Twin Cities near the the end of his career, the smart money is on him returning to Minneapolis.

    • Pick: Minnesota Vikings (-200)

NFL Next Team Odds (Non- QB)

    Player Favored 2024 Team Runner-Up
Saquon Barkley Giants (-150) Texans (+275)
Derrick Henry Ravens (+200) Eagles (+500)
Josh Jacobs Raiders (-200) Chargers (+750)
Mike Evans Buccaneers (-165) Bears (+650)
Tee Higgins Bengals (-500) Titans (+500)
Stefon Diggs Bills (-300) Chiefs (+1000)
Chris Jones Chiefs (-225) Bears (+425)

In addition to the big-name quarterbacks, DraftKings is also offering next team odds for a variety of top players who don’t play the quarterback position.

Tee Higgins is the heaviest favorite in this group, with DraftKings listing the Bengals wide receiver as a massive -500 favorite to return to Cincinnati.

    Chris Jones Next Team Pick

A bet that sticks out in the NFL next team odds is for Chris Jones to return to Kansas City. You have to pay some juice at -225, but this is still only suggesting there is a 69% chance he is playing for the Chiefs in 2024.

At the Super Bowl 58 parade, Jones emphatically told fans, “I ain’t going nowhere,” and that he plans to return to the Chiefs. He said he wants to go for a “three-peat” and win three straight Super Bowls with the team.

Jones is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March, however. The Chiefs have limited cap space, but both sides have expressed mutual interest in working out a new contract. We’re betting on the veteran returning to the City of Fountains.

    • Pick: Kansas City Chiefs (-225)

  • The San Francisco 49ers are the +500 favorites in the 2025 Super Bowl opening odds
  • You can get second betting choice odds of +750 on the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs
  • No NFL team has ever won three consecutive Super Bowls

  • Can the Kansas City Chiefs make Super Bowl history? Not according to the people assigned the task of setting the 2025 Super Bowl odds.

And it’s the team that they just beat who are favored to rebound and win the big game.

After winning a second straight Super Bowl via their 25-22 overtime triumph over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58, the Chiefs are set as the +750 second betting choice in the opening 2025 Super Bowl odds.

However, it’s the 49ers who are set as the +500 chalk to win the big game next season. But to do so, San Francisco will need to defy a long-running drought involving NFC clubs. No NFC team has come back to win the Super Bowl the year after losing the big game since the Dallas Cowboys in 1971.

By beating San Francisco, Kansas City became the eighth team in NFL history to win consecutive Super Bowls. The Chiefs are poised to become one of the greatest Super Bowl dynasties. They’ve played in four of the past five big games.

No squad has ever won the big game three years in a row. In fact, just two teams – the Miami Dolphins (1971-73) and Buffalo Bills (1991-94) – have managed to play in three or more successive Super Bowl games.

    2025 NFL Super Bowl Odds

    Team Odds
    San Francisco 49ers +500
    Kansas City Chiefs +750
    Baltimore Ravens +900

    Cleveland Browns +4000
    Indianapolis Colts +5000
    Minnesota Vikings +5000
    Tampa Bay Buccaneers +6600
    Seattle Seahawks +6600
    New Orleans Saints +7500

    Washington Commanders +12500
    New England Patriots +15000
    Tennessee Titans +15000
    Carolina Panthers +25000

Beyond the 49ers and the Chiefs at +750, the third-favorites are the Baltimore Ravens, who are priced at +900. Baltimore is just ahead of the Buffalo Bills at +1000. Then you get two NFC teams

    Super Bowl Betting Trends

Recent Super Bowl history suggests that champions rarely come out of nowhere. There’s generally a recent run of success involving a Super Bowl championship squad.

Among the past 12 winners of the big game, 10 were involved in postseason play in the year prior to their Super Bowl win. Six of those clubs were in the conference championship game in the season before their Super Bowl win.

Just two teams – the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2021) and Philadelphia Eagles (2018) – won the big game the season following a playoff absence.

49ers Again the Team to Beat

San Francisco was the chalk to win Super Bowl 58 through the playoffs, but came up short.

With the same two teams set with the shortest odds, could a Super Bowl rematch be in the works? Probably not.

While there have been eight Super Bowl rematches in the history of the game, including the 49ers and Chiefs (2020, 2024), it’s never happened in back-to-back seasons.

    Oddsmakers Still Backing Bills

The Buffalo Bills continue to be the team that can always find a way not to win the Super Bowl. Yet in the Super Bowl odds, the Bills are yet again a top contender to win it all.

With talent like QB Josh Allen and WR Stefon Diggs, on the one hand, that love for the Bills is entirely understandable. But this is a group that has yet to show it can get over the hump and even find a way into the big game.

Buffalo hasn’t played in a Super Bowl game since 1994. The Bills and Minnesota Vikings, both 0-4, share the NFL record for most Super Bowl appearances without ever posting a victory.

    Lions Not Getting Their Share

Head coach Dan Campbell has already told his team that they are winning the 2025 Super Bowl. Evidently, the people who set the odds didn’t get the memo.

At a betting line of +1200, the reigning NFC North champion Lions are the fifth betting choice to win it all next season. Detroit blew a 24-7 halftime lead and lost 34-31 at San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game. The Lions have never made it to a Super Bowl game in franchise history and haven’t won an NFL title since 1957.

Surprising Prices On Some 2023 Playoff Teams

The Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans were two of the surprise teams in the second half of the season as they made runs to secure playoff spots. But it hasn’t generated much love for either team in Super Bowl betting lines. You can access +2200 odds on both teams winning the big game in 2025.

Likewise, the Los Angeles Rams, another second-half success story of the season past, are opening with odds of +2800. That’s the same number being offered on the perennially woeful New York Jets and the ever underachieving Los Angeles Chargers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+6600) and Pittsburgh Steelers (+8000) are other 2023 playoff teams not being given much hope.

2025 Super Bowl Winner Pick:  Kansas City Chiefs (+750)

After 1st Quarter: Not much to report after one quarter. No scoring and lots of punts. But the 49ers dominated the time of possession with 10:26.

After 2nd Quarter: Jake Moody got the scoring started with a Super Bowl record 55-yard field goal early in the second quarter.

The 49ers extended their lead with a trick play that saw Jauan Jennings throw a TD pass to Christian McCaffrey. The CMC anytime TD prop cashes again.

The Chiefs finally got on the board with a 28-yard Harrison Butker field goal to cut the lead to 10-3 going into halftime.

The live game total at halftime sits at 36.5.

After 3rd Quarter: It took a long time but the Chiefs have finally found the endzone with a 16-yard TD pass from Mahomes to Marquez Valdes-Scantling after the Chiefs got a turnover from a punt.

After 4th Quarter: The Chiefs never led in the 4th quarter, but kicked the tying field goal with seconds to go to tie 19-19 and go into overtime.

What Is the Best Bet to Make for the Super Bowl?

There are still plenty of bets that can be made on Super Bowl 58. Let’s take a look at where things stand after each quarter.

After 1st Quarter: At this rate and sort of live bet on the Under looks like a good play right now.

After 2nd Quarter:  There’s no question the 49ers have played a better first half of football, but the Chiefs got some points heading into the half and will get the ball to start the 3rd quarter. If you’re a believer in the Chiefs, you can get some good plus-money at +175 for a comeback win.

A whole host of player props are also still available to bet live during this game.

Additionally, Super Bowl MVP odds are still open, with Brock Purdy leading at +170 odds, followed by Christian McCaffrey at +180 and Patrick Mahomes at +230.

After 3rd Quarter: With the 49ers driving and now at underdog prices, they could be worth a bet. Aiyuk is sitting on 38 yards receiving and his live total is set at 50+ yards at +140 odds. He could be one catch away.

After 4th Quarter: It’s truly anyone’s game right now and you can still bet on the result of each teams’ overtime drive, as well as live lines and totals

According to the New York Times, as discussed in this clip from Colin Cowherd below, Swift has been shown for an average of 25 seconds in the games she’s attended.

That includes 32 seconds in the Ravens game, 14 seconds in the Raiders game, 12 in the Bengals, 24 versus the Bills and 60 seconds versus the Dolphins.

There are going to be millions of extra viewers tuning in solely to get a glimpse of Swift, and you can be sure CBS will give them at least 30 seconds of it.

*Update. We’ve hit halftime and there’s been two Swift sightings, with Blake Lively and Ashley Avignone standing beside her on the first shot.

If you’d bet more Swift shots in the second half than the first, you’re already a winner with four cutaways in the third quarter alone. We must be getting close to 28.5 seconds.

    • Pick: Taylor Swift Shown Over 28.5 Seconds

The current point spread for Super Bowl 58 has the San Francisco 49ers favored by 2 points over the Kansas City Chiefs across major sportsbooks. One of our best Super Bowl prop bets is for KC to cover the two points as betting underdogs.

Kansas City is playing in their fourth Super Bowl in five years, and we project their experience will be invaluable as the game wears on. The 49ers have some key players with Super Bowl experience, but their most important player, Brock Purdy, is a 24-year-old making his first Big Game appearance.

The 49ers’ rush defense is allowing 5.6 yards per carry this season, which is how we think KC will win this game. The Chiefs have made a concerted effort to establish the run game in the playoffs, averaging 127.3 rushing yards per game in their three playoff wins. They are built to expose SF’s defensive inefficiencies.

    • Pick: Kansas City Chiefs +2 (-110)

    Pacheco Will Find Paydirt

Our best Super Bowl player prop bet is for Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco to score an anytime touchdown. The current player prop odds for Isiah Pacheco to score a touchdown in Super Bowl 58 are -125 at most sportsbooks. This means you would need to bet $125 to win $100 if he scores.

Pacheco has been on an incredible touchdown-scoring run heading into the Super Bowl, finding the end zone in seven straight games for the Chiefs. He is clearly their preferred goal-line and short-yardage back, evidenced by his 72.5% rushing share inside the 10-yard line this season. Pacheco has also received a heavy workload recently, averaging over 20 carries per game over the Chiefs’ last 3 playoff contests.

The 49ers’ defense has shown vulnerability against the run during these playoffs, allowing over 100 yards to both Aaron Jones of the Packers and the trio of Lions running backs in the NFC Championship game. Their defensive front lacks the dominant force it had in previous seasons and has slipped to just 25th in rushing yards allowed per game.

    • Pick: Isiah Pacheco Anytime TD (-105)

    Usher’s First Song Pick

In addition to betting on who will win the game, bettors also have a wide range of novelty props available to wager on. One of our favorite Super Bowl novelty props can be found in the Super Bowl halftime props, where odds are available for Usher’s performance.

You can bet on which song Usher will perform first at his halftime show, with “Yeah!” and “OMG” as the two favorites to kick off his performance. We gave out “OMG” as a +110 longshot several weeks ago, and those odds have shortened to +325. We still feel there is value left, however.

“OMG,” featuring an upbeat tempo and catchy hook, makes it a strong candidate to kick off the show with high energy. We can’t stop envisioning the performance opening with the infamous “OMG” chant echoing through the dark chambers of Allegiant Stadium.

    • Pick: OMG (+325)

The Super Bowl 58 line has been as high as 49ers -2.5 and as low as Chiefs -1. The latest NFL public betting splits show the majority of money on the Chiefs +2 (69% of ATS handle) and the Chiefs to win straight-up (73% of moneyline handle). The public also favors under 47.5 (65% of game-total handle).

San Francisco Stumbles Into Super Bowl

The 49ers needed two comeback wins to get themselves back to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2020. In the NFC Divisional Round, the Niners trailed the Green Bay Packers 21-14 entering the fourth quarter. But the defense came up huge, forcing two turnovers and a punt on Green Bay’s final four possessions while the offense did just enough to escape with a 24-21 win. Brock Purdy finished 23-of-39 for 252 yards and one touchdown, while Christian McCaffrey had 98 rushing yards and two touchdowns, plus another 30 yards through the air.

It was a similar script (but on steroids) in the NFC Championship Game against Detroit. The Lions roared out to a 24-7 halftime lead before San Francisco mounted an epic second-half comeback. The 49ers scored the first 27 points of the second half to take a 34-24 lead. The Lions covered the 7.5-point spread thanks to a last-minute TD that made the final score 34-31.  Again, McCaffrey led the way with 90 rushing yards and two touchdowns plus 42 receiving yards. Purdy was a little more efficient, going 20-of-31 for 267 yards, one TD, and one INT.

During the regular season, the 49ers went 12-5 with the second-best point differential in the NFC (+193, one behind Dallas). The Niners also finished second in the NFL in DVOA behind Baltimore. Their +35.9% DVOA number would have led the league each of the past three years. A surprise to many, it was the offense and not the star-studded defense that propelled San Francisco up the DVOA rankings. The 49ers rated first in the NFL in Offensive Efficiency while sitting fourth in Defensive Efficiency.

Kansas City Finds Its Footing in the Playoffs

Always saddled with lofty expectations during the Andy Reid/Patrick Mahomes era, the Chiefs didn’t quite live up to them during the regular season. Kansas City went 11-6 in a bad AFC West finishing with a +77 point differential, fourth-best in the AFC and sixth in the league.  They wound up fifth in DVOA but neither their offense (eighth) nor defense (seventh) was a top-five unit.

But that somewhat lethargic regular-season performance became a distant memory as soon as the Wild-Card Round arrived. Mahomes and the Chiefs easily dispatched a battered Miami Dolphins team 26-7, holding the Phins to just 264 total yards of offense while piling up 409 of their own.

KC backed up that home win with a massive performance on the road at Buffalo the next week. The Chiefs went to Orchard Park as 2.5-point road underdogs in freezing conditions and emerged with a hard-fought 27-24 win. The Chiefs’ defense gets a ton of credit, holding the Bills to just 4.7 yards per play (368 total yards on 78 plays). Travis Kelce was electric on offense, with 75 yards and two touchdown on just five receptions. Mahomes finished 17-of-23 for 215 yards and two TDs.

The Chiefs defense saved its best performance for the AFC Championship Game. Facing the league-leading Baltimore Ravens, the only team that outranked San Francisco in DVOA with a historic +45.5% number, the Chiefs defense taught a masterclass in containment. The Ravens finished the day with just 10 points and 336 yards, scoring just a field goal in the final three quarters.

Mahomes and the offense didn’t have a lot more success than Baltimore’s attack, but a two-yard Isiah Pacheco TD early in the second quarter was enough to propel the Chiefs to a 17-10 win and back to the Super Bowl for the fourth time in the last five years

San Francisco 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs Prediction

Both teams are built quite differently than when they met in the 2020 Super Bowl four years ago. At that point, KC’s high-flying offense included the likes to Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins, while their defense was considerably more generous to opposing teams. This season, the Chiefs are extremely thin at receiver, asking Travis Kelce to shoulder an absurd load at tight end. Their defense, on the other hand, especially the secondary, counts itself among the best in the league.  But the 49ers offense has so many ways to move the ball. Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk are great threats on the outside; George Kittel might be the second-best tight end in the league; Jauan Jennings is underrated in the slot; and that doesn’t even touch on what Christian McCaffrey brings to the table.

Generally, I have zero interest in betting against Patrick Mahomes, especially in the postseason. But with the line this tight and the San Francisco roster as stacked as it is, I am taking the 49ers to win their first Super Bowl since 1995, when Steve Young and company routed the San Diego Chargers (49-26).

    49ers vs Chiefs pick: 49ers moneyline (-130)

49ers vs Chiefs SGP Picks: Chiefs Alternate Spread

Getting Patrick Mahomes as an underdog at any number is always a good bet. In fact, he is 10-1-1 ATS and 9-3 SU as a dog in his career and in the playoffs he’s 14-3 SU. So if you’re telling me I can now add a whole bunch of points to the Chiefs in the form of a teaser or an alternate spread in a Super Bowl same-game parlay and get the Chiefs up and over 10-point underdogs, well sign me up for that.

Kansas City has six losses this season and only one of those came by more than eight points, and it happened away in Denver with Mahomes dealing with the flu.

The 49ers have won by just three points in both playoff games, but also found themselves down by seven points in the third quarter versus the Packers and down 17 points at halftime to the Lions. So while I could certainly see a scenario where San Fran wins, I don’t think it will be by double-digits in the 49ers vs Chiefs picks.

    • 49ers vs Chiefs same game parlay picks: Chiefs +10.5 alternate total

49ers vs Chiefs SGP Picks: Alternate Total Under

Historical Super Bowl totals trends will show that the Over/Under has gone an equal 28-28, However, the Under is currently on a 4-1 run.

Kansas City has the most Unders in the NFL this season at 14-6, while also cashing the Under in five of their past six games.

San Francisco have skewed to the Over, but are just 2-2 in their last four.

Last year’s Super Bowl was a shootout with the Chiefs winning 38-35 (73 points). But previous Super Bowls totalled 43, 40, 51, 16, 74, 62, 34, 52 and 51 points in the last ten.

So with a current Super Bowl total of 47.5 points, the Under would’ve gone just 4-6. But if we up this on the alternate total line to say 60.5 points, we’re suddenly looking at 7-3.

Neither of these teams play at an overly fast pace of play. The 49ers average 60.7 plays per game (26th) while the Chiefs average 63.8 (14th). Kansas City’s offense lacks big play threats, with short passes to Rice, Kelce and even Pacheco out of the backfield. Meanwhile, the 49ers biggest weapon is running back Christian McCaffrey. This all lines up for a slower, lower-scoring game.

    • 49ers vs Chiefs same game parlay picks: Alternate total under 60.5 points

49ers vs Chiefs SGP Picks: Field Goals

I see this as a tight game and both teams bring in impressive defensive units. The Chiefs were 2nd in PPG allowed and 2nd in YPG allowed during the regular season. While the 49ers were 3rd in PPG allowed and 8th in YPG allowed.

Both have good enough offenses to still move the ball, but I see some of those drives stalling out and Andy Reid and Kyle Shanahan electing to kick field goals. With no weather concerns indoors, that won’t be a worry for either coach.

On the Chiefs side, kicker Harrison Butker was 33-35 in field goals and 38-38 in extra points during the regular season. In the playoffs he’s been a spotless 7-7 in both. About as perfect a season as any kicker can have. Only one game did Butker not attempt a field goal and in the games where he did make at least one attempt, he only failed to have at least one completed field goal once. Finally, he’s completed six field goals of 50+ yards, including one for 60.

49ers’ rookie placekicker Jake Moody hasn’t been as perfect, but has still also had a solid year being 21-25 in field goals and 60-61 with extra points in the regular season. He has missed 2/5 field goals in the playoffs but is 7-7 on extra points.

There were four games where the 49ers didn’t attempt a kick, but in the games where Moody did attempt a kick, he had at least one field goal in 14/15 games. His longest kick on the year was 57 yards and he’s 3/5 from 50+ yards overall.

    • 49ers vs Chiefs same game parlay picks: Both teams over 0.5 field goals

49ers vs Chiefs SGP Picks: Mahomes Rush Attempts

Mahomes carried the ball six times in both the Conference Championship and Divisional Round playoff games. He only rushed for 2 and 4 carries in the games prior, but also had 10 carries on Christmas Day. Season-long, he’s had 5+ carries in 10/20 games.

Jared Goff didn’t rush the ball at all versus San Fran last week, but opposing quarterbacks have rushed against the 49ers five times or more in five of the seven games prior.

Furthermore, I can see Mahomes taking off for a few runs if the 49ers do a good job of covering Kelce and Rice and he elects to run for a few yards versus throwing to some of his more unreliable targets. And finally, If I’m leaning towards a Chiefs’ win, the game script could also see Kansas City up and with the ball late, which could mean Mahomes is taking a few kneel downs at the end which will count towards rushing attempts.

    • 49ers vs Chiefs same game parlay picks: Patrick Mahomes 5+ rushing attempts

  • In the San Francisco 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs final inactive and injury report for the Super Bowl, KC All-Pro LG Joe Thuney (pectoral) is out
  • There are published reports stating Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney won’t be playing in the game
  • The 49ers are reporting no injuries among the team’s starters

  • There was a slim hope that the final 49ers vs Chiefs injury reports would bring better news for Chiefs starting left guard Joe Thuney. However, that isn’t the case.

All-Pro Thuney will miss the big game due to a pectoral injury. He’s the only starter on either team carrying an injury designation as the clock ticks down the final hours until kickoff for Super Bowl 58.

San Francisco is the 2-point chalk over Kansas City in the Chiefs vs 49ers odds. Kansas City is an NFL-best 3-0 against the spread as an underdog this season.

So far in the Chiefs vs 49ers public betting splits, underdog Kansas City is getting 70% of ATS handle and 74% of moneyline handle.

    Thuney Unlikely Participant for Chiefs

While there was some speculation that Thuney might be able to suit up for the Super Bowl, it turned out to be based more in hope than reality. He’s since been placed on IR. Thuney was originally injured in Kansas City’s NFL Divisional Round win at Buffalo. He’ll be missing his second straight game.

Though he’s not listed as injured, there’s growing speculation that Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney won’t be playing on Super Bowl Sunday. He hasn’t seen any game action since Week 15. Previously listed as having a hip injury, there’s also been rumblings that Toney’s absence is due to personal reasons.

Kansas City activated RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) from IR and he’s been a full participant in practice this week. He’ll be a game-time decision. McKinnon has been out since December 17 and in actuality, has been used sparingly all season long.

    Kansas City Chiefs Injury Report

    Player-Position Injury Game Status
    Charlies Omenihu-DE Knee Out (IR)
    Derrick Nnadi-DT Triceps Out (IR)
    Joe Thuney-G Pectoral Out (IR)
    Jerick McKinnon-RB Groin Questionable
    Nikko Remigio-WR Wrist Out (IR)
Prince Tega Wanogho-T Quad Out (IR)
    Cam Jones-LB Chest Out (IR)
    Jody Fortson-TE Shoulder Out (IR)
    Nazeeh Johnson-S Knee Out (IR)
    Bryan Cook-S Ankle Out (IR)

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice tweaked an ankle at Thursday’s practice, but was a full participant in Friday’s practice. He’s not carrying any injury designation.

Kansas City’s defensive line depth is suddenly short-staffed. Both DT Derrick Nnadi (triceps) and DE Charles Omenihu were placed on IR this week. Omenihu tore his ACL in the AFC Championship Game win over Baltimore.

    All Systems Go for 49ers

All three San Francisco starters who were in previous injury reports – TE George Kittle (toe), LDT Arik Armstead (foot/knee) and LB Oren Burks (shoulder) – were full participants in practice as this week wore on. That means Kittle could be worth bets in the 49ers vs Chiefs props.

They’ve since had their injury designations removed, as has backup CB Ambry Thomas (ankle).

    San Francisco 49ers Injury Report

    Player-Position Injury Game Status
    Danny Gray-WR Shoulder Out (IR)
    Ross Dwelley-TE Ankle Out (IR)
    Nick Zakelj-G Biceps Out (IR)
    Clelin Farrell-DE Knee Out (IR)
    Drake Jackson-DE Knee Out (IR)
    Kalia Davis-DT Ankle Out (IR)
    Talanoa Hufanga-S Knee Out (IR)
    Cameron Latu-TE Knee Out (IR)

DT Kalia Davis (ankle), currently on IR, has been a full practice participant this week.

How Could Injuries Affect Chiefs vs 49ers Betting Lines?

Thuney’s absence looms large. He’s a First Team All-Pro selection this season, Thuney has been a Pro Bowl selection each of the past two seasons. He was a starter for Kansas City’s first 19 games this season.

Nick Allegretti will step into Thuney’s role at LG. He’s a five-year veteran who’s started 14 games during five seasons with the Chiefs. That includes the AFC Championship Game against Baltimore and one regular-season game this season.

Toney scored a TD in last year’s Super Bowl win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Toney’s projected absence figures to make WR Skyy Moore’s activation from IR even more significant. Moore hasn’t played since injuring his knee December 17 against New England. He’s made 21 pass receptions for 244 yards and one TD this season.

Nnadi missed the past two games with his triceps injury. His loss leaves Mike Pennel Jr and Tershawn Watson as healthy reserve options at DT.

The 49ers are opting not to activate second-year DT Kalia Davis (ankle) from IR, even though he was a full participant in practice this week. San Francisco activated DE Alex Barrett and DT TY McGill from the practice squad for DL depth.

49ers vs Chiefs Props #1: Brock Purdy Passing Yards

Brock Purdy’s passing yards prop is set at 247.5 at DraftKings. On one hand, that’s a number he’s eclipsed in both playoff games passing for 267 and 252 yards. He’s also gone over 247.5 yards in 12 of his past 16 games.

On the other had, he’s also fallen under this number in two of his past five games, while only going over by 19, 4 and 7 yards in the three games he did.

Then there’s the Chiefs’ defense that is giving up just 181.5 yards per game passing and just 5.4 yards per pass attempt which is second to only Baltimore.

If we look at past weeks Lamar Jackson did throw for 272 yards last week, but the Chiefs have held opposing passers to under 247.5 yards in six of their past eight games and also in 13 of 20 overall games this season. One other game they gave up 248 yards right on.

    • 49ers vs Chiefs Prop Picks: Brock Purdy under 247.5 passing yards (-110); at DraftKings

49ers vs Chiefs Props #2: Noah Gray Receiving Yards

With only a limited amount of reliable targets to choose from, you can be sure the 49ers will be doing their best to take away Kelce and Rice on passing plays. Someone else will need to emerge for Mahomes and why not Noah Gray?

He saw five targets last week but only caught two for eight yards. He’s also seen at least three passes in 5/6 recent games and in 11/19 overall games this season.

His receiving total of 13.5 yards is a number he surpassed versus the Bills (16) and Dolphins (20) and also ten other games during the regular season.

But let’s also look at the 49ers against tight ends. They gave up 105 yards to the Lions’ TEs last week, but most of those yards went to Sam LaPorta who had 97. Backup TE Anthony Firkser had eight yards. But let’s look at backup TEs by week against the 49ers. Take the last ten games and in six of them a backup TE has gone over 13.5 yards and in another a backup TE landed right on 13 yards. In fact, in one game versus the Cardinals, two backup TEs accomplished this.

Let’s include Gray among our best NFL player props for the Super Bowl.

No surprise here that McCaffrey is the most-favored player to find the endzone this Sunday. He’s scored four touchdowns in this last two playoff games and has a touchdown in 33 of 37 games with the 49ers in his career. If you’re wondering what is a TD prop bet, well these bets allow you to predict if a player will score the game’s first TD, last TD or to simply score a TD at anytime in the game.

49ers vs Chiefs Props #3: Isiah Pacheco Anytime Touchdown

Pacheco ended the regular season with touchdowns in four straight games, with four rushing and one receiving in that time. He’s continued that run in the playoffs with a touchdown on the ground in all three games, meaning he’s now found the endzone in seven straight games.

The Chiefs have just seven total touchdowns during their three playoff games and they’ve all come from the main three guys: Isiah Pacheco (3), Travis Kelce (3) and Rashee Rice (1).

In the NFC title game, both David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs had a rushing score for the Lions and if the Chiefs are to have success on Sunday night, surely Pacheco will be involved.

    • 49ers vs Chiefs Prop Picks: Isiah Pacheco anytime touchdown (-120); at DraftKings

49ers vs Chiefs Props #4: Christian McCaffrey Anytime / First Touchdown

It really doesn’t take a rocket scientist to predict McCaffrey finding the endzone. It’s something he’s done in all six career playoff games and in 33 of his 37 career games as a Niner. He’s rushed for two touchdowns in each playoff game this season as well.

You don’t need me to tell you that -225 odds for him to score anytime isn’t a big moneymaker. But a $100 bet on -225 odds still returns $44 of profit. People pay financial experts to get a single-digit ROI in investments over the course of the year. And here we have a 44% ROI over a three-hour period on an outcome that has come through 89% of the time (33/37 games). Nothing is certain, but CMC and touchdowns is about as close as you can get.

Still, I know you all want something a bit more. So let’s look at his first touchdown odds of +360.

In 19 games this season San Francisco scored the game’s first touchdown 14 times. Of those 14, McCaffrey was the first scorer four times. So while it’s a much lower hit-rate, it’s certainly worth a flyer if you’re looking for longer odds.

    • 49ers vs Chiefs Prop Picks: Christian McCaffrey anytime touchdown (-225) / first touchdown scorer (+360); at DraftKings

  • See the Super Bowl 58 public betting splits and money percentages for 49ers vs Chiefs

  • With kickoff roughly 8.5 hours away, the Super Bowl 58 betting splits paint a stark portrait of where the confidence of the betting public lies. The public has been hammering Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs – who beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54 four years ago – as slight underdogs, and there has been significant line movement towards the Chiefs in the last 24 hours as a result.

Currently, Kansas City is getting 72% of ATS handle and 78% of ATS bets as two-point underdogs. The Chiefs are also garnering most of the action on the moneyline, sitting at 74% of moneyline handle and 64% of moneyline tickets.

The 49ers vs Chiefs game total splits are not as decisive. So far, the under is attracting 63% of game-total handle and 76% of bets on the total in the NFL public betting splits.

Chiefs Have Been Beasts Against the Number

Just looking at the teams’ ATS performances to date, it’s not the least bit surprising to see the public siding with the Chiefs. Kansas City is 12-7-1 against the spread including postseason action, tied for the third-best ATS win percentage in the NFL (behind the 14-6 Detroit Lions and 11-6-1 LA Rams).

San Francisco has been much more average against the number, going 9-10 on the season. They failed to cover either of their first two postseason games, coming back to beat Green Bay 24-21 as 10.5-point favorites before edging out Detroit 34-31 as 7.5-point chalk.

The 49ers have been betting favorites in every single game they’ve played in the 2023-24 season.  Today’s spread is the second-smallest of the season: San Francisco was a modest one-point road favorite at the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 and made oddsmakers look foolish during a 30-7 win.

Chiefs and 49ers at Opposite Ends of the Over/Under Spectrum

The public’s lean towards the under goes hand in hand with its siding with the Chiefs against the spread and on the moneyline. The Chiefs were supposed to pair an electric offense with a serviceable defense, but thanks to injuries and a subpar receiving corps, KC’s offense wasn’t the juggernaut many were expecting and the defense played above expectations. The result was that Kansas City went over the total in just two of its first ten games and enters the Super Bowl with an eye-popping 6-14 over/under record.

Only two teams finished their seasons with a higher under percentage: the LA Chargers and Carolina Panthers, who were both 5-12. No team in the league had a bigger under margin than the Chiefs, whose games stayed under by an average of 6.9 points. If you think KC is going to control the game, it’s logical to side with the under as well.

The 49ers, on the other hand, were supposed to field a dominant defense and were, as a result, faced with some relatively low totals early in the year. While their defense was among the league’s best, they wound up going over their game totals more often than not thanks to an offense that finished third in scoring (28.9 PPG). The Niners head into Allegiant Stadium with an 11-8 over/under record, the seventh-highest over percentage in the NFL this year.

Roles Reversed from Last 49ers vs Chiefs Super Bowl

When the Niners and Chiefs squared off in the championship game four short years ago, the Super Bowl 54 spread closed at Kansas City -1.5 while the total was considerably higher at 53.5. The 49ers jumped out to a 20-10 lead but couldn’t hang on, ultimately losing 31-20 in a game that stayed 2.5 points under the total.

Underdog is not a role that Patrick Mahomes has played often in his five-year career. The two-time Super Bowl champion has only been an underdog 12 times previously. He has an impeccable 10-1-1 record against the spread and an almost-as-astonishing 9-3 record straight up.

  • When assessing the 49ers vs Chiefs Super Bowl 58 picks against the spread, the odds may be favoring San Francisco, but the betting trends are with Kansas City.

It’s the 49ers who are set as 2-point favorites over the Chiefs in the Super Bowl odds. However, San Francisco is 0-2 ATS during the NFL postseason. Meanwhile, Kansas City is a stellar 3-0 ATS.

The Chiefs covered and won outright as betting underdogs in their past two games. In the conference championship games, both underdogs covered.

Favorites are struggling to get the job done in this year’s NFL playoffs. The chalk is 4-8 ATS. That being said, the only away underdog to win outright during the past two rounds of the NFL postseason has been the Chiefs. And they’ve done it two games in a row.

Now, let’s check out our NFL Super Bowl picks against the spread.

Underdogs Dominant In Recent Super Bowl Games

Recent Super Bowl betting trends are leaning toward the underdog as well. In the past three big games, the underdog is 3-0 ATS. In two of those games, the underdog was an outright winner.

Taking it back a bit further, the underdogs have covered in nine of the past 12 Super Bowl games. Interestingly, the last favorite to cover was the Chiefs when they beat the 49ers in the 2020 big game. That also makes San Francisco the most recent underdog that failed to cover.

In each of the last five Super Bowl games in which the AFC squad took the field as the betting underdog, those teams are not only 5-0 ATS, four of the five also won the big game outright. Included in those five games was Baltimore’s 34-31 victory over San Francisco in 2013 as 4.5-point underdogs.

Best News for 49ers Is They Aren’t At Home

The Super Bowl is a neutral site game and that might be just fine with the 49ers. Home, sweet home hasn’t proven to be the case at all for San Francisco.

In their final six home games of the 2023-24 NFL season, the Niners were 0-6 ATS. As an away team this season, San Francisco is showing a much better 6-3 ATS mark.

Favored again in the Chiefs vs 49ers picks, oddly enough, San Francisco has teed up the football as the betting choice in all 19 games this season. Yet the 49ers have only been able to cover nine times.

In the past 11 Super Bowl games in which the NFC squad has been the betting favorite, their ATS record is a dismal 1-8-2. The 49ers are 0-2 ATS in their last two Super Bowl appearances. However, San Francisco is 4-2 ATS as a Super Bowl favorite.

    Chiefs Are Underdog Perfection

Kansas City’s 17-10 AFC Championship Game win over the Ravens marked the fifth time in six games that the Chiefs have covered the spread. They’ve won outright the past two games as underdogs. Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes, favored to win his third award in the Super Bowl MVP odds, is 10-1-1 in his career as an underdog.

Kansas City is an NFL best 3-0 ATS as a betting underdog this season. In fact, the Chiefs are 6-0 ATS in their last six games when they weren’t the betting choice.

49ers vs Chiefs Picks Against the Spread

Last season, the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs won 38-35 as 1.5-point underdogs to the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City is 2-1 ATS as a Super Bowl underdog.

The Chiefs are also 1-0 ATS in neutral-site games this season. Kansas City beat Miami in a game played in Germany.

NFL ATS Pick: Kansas City Chiefs +2 (-110), 1 unit

    • NFL ATS Playoff Record: 6-2

  • The 2023-24 NFL season wraps up on Sunday and it’s time to compare the SBD computer picks and our experts’ picks against the spread for the final big game
  • SBD’s score-predicting formula has nearly a 53% winning percentage against the spread over the entire NFL season
  • See its’ computer pick for Super Bowl 58 as well as SBD’s expert picks below

  • It all comes down to this. 49ers vs Chiefs in Super Bowl 58. There are a ton of ways to bet on the big game this Sunday but the most important bets come in the form of side and total, when making your Super Bowl ATS picks and Over/Under bets. Read on as we cover our SBD formula pick for a Super Bowl winner, compared to our top expert Super Bowl picks.

Using a variety of team and player stats, trends, and some injury info, the SBD formula has predicted scores for every NFL game throughout the regular season and playoffs. Using the margin of victory and ATS margin of victory for each game, the formula’s scores can translate into NFL computer picks for the playoffs and Super Bowl. The SBD score-predicting formula was created by SBD’s Editor-in-Chief Matt McEwan.

Let’s take a look at what the SBD computer picks formula is predicting for Sunday’s 49ers vs Chiefs game, while comparing it to our SBD NFL expert picks against the spread, correct score and top prop picks.

Computer Picks for Super Bowl | Expert Picks for Super Bowl

NFL Computer Picks for Super Bowl 58

SportsBettingDime’s score-predicting formula has gone a combined 145-129-10 ATS (52.9%) against the spread over the course of the regular season and playoffs, as per McEwan. He’s broken it down into several more data points though as well.

When it comes to totals, it’s been spitting out winners at an even greater rate going 153-128-3 (54.4%) when picking overs and unders.

Let’s look at some of the math on the potential winnings you could have made this season had you bet $100 on every ATS and totals prediction.

On the 145 ATS wins assuming -110 odds, you would have made $13,195, but then given back $12,900 on the 129 losses, leaving you with a profit of $295.

For totals, you would have made $13,923 on the 153 wins, but given back $12,800, netting a profit of $395.

All together, that would’ve made you $690 on the season.

Let’s look at just a couple more data points before we move onto the formula’s Super Bowl prediction. The SBD Formula has been particularily strong in predicting the outcomes for both of these teams this season.

For the Chiefs games, it’s gone 11-9 ATS and 10-10 in totals. In 49ers’ game, it’s gone 10-8-1 ATS and 10-9 on totals.

Read on to see if you feel confident in siding with our computer predictions or if you want to tail some of our expert picks for the big game as well.

Although oddsmakers across the best apps to bet on Super Bowl are predicting this be a very close game, our SBD computer picks see the 49ers winning by almost a touchdown margin. With a predicted score of 20.5 to 14.4, San Fran would win by 6.1 points, easily covering the current spread of 2 points.

SBD Formula Super Bowl Score Prediction

    • San Francisco 49ers : 20.5
    • Kansas City Chiefs: 14.4

When breaking down the computer picks for the total points for the Super Bowl, our formula is predicting an even bigger discrepancy. Most NFL betting apps have this game lined at 47.5 points. With the projected score of 20.5-14.4, that would come in at 34.9 points, a number that is a good 12.6 points under that total.

So if you’re a believer in the SBD formula continuing its’ streak, there is significant value on the 49ers and to an even greater extend, the under.

    SBD Formula’s Super Bowl Picks:

    • Moneyline Pick: 49ers (-2)
    • ATS Pick: 49ers
    • Total Pick: Under 47.5

    Ryan Metivier – Editor

    • Super Bowl Predicted Score: Chiefs 23-20
    • Best Bets: Chiefs +2, Under 47.5
    • Favorite Super Bowl Prop Bet: Shortest TD Drive Under 1.5 yards

I don’t think there is a wrong take on this game. San Fran has been the better team over the full course of the season and have a higher number of impact players. But the Chiefs have been the better team right now, which is what matters most. They have the experience, a human cheat code in Mahomes and have proved capable of shutting down the run in recent weeks which is the 49ers’ biggest strength. Only once in their last five games and twice in their past eight games have the Chiefs given up over 100 yards on the ground to opposing running backs.

Mahomes is 10-1-1 as an underdog in his career and is 14-3 SU in the playoffs with his only losses coming to Tom Brady twice and Joe Burrow once. I think I’ll feel foolish not backing Mahomes over Purdy here. If Purdy beats me, I tip my hat.

Also, let’s look at the shortest touchdown scores in recent Super Bowls from the past ten years. Last year between the Chiefs and Eagles in Super Bowl 57 there were two 1-yard touchdowns. In Super Bowl 56 there was 1-yard score, Super Bowl 55 a 1-yard score and the last time these teams played in Super Bowl 54 there were three 1-yard scores.

Super Bowl 53 was the last time the shortest touchdown was Over 1.5 yards, however, there was a 2-yard score. The only other time in the past ten years where the Over hit was in Super 49, where the shortest scores were 3, 3, 4 and 3 yards.

Otherwise, Super Bowl 52 had a 1-yard score, plus touchdowns of 4 and 5 yards. In Super Bowl 51 there were scores of 1, 2, 5 and 6 yards. Then in Super Bowl 50, the shortest score would have been 0 yards as there was a fumble recovered in the endzone. But there were also 1 and 2-yard touchdowns. And finally in Super Bowl 48 there was also a 1-yard touchdown run.

So that puts the Under on an 8-2 run in the past ten Super Bowls, plus it’s 21-9 in the past 30. You can bet the Under at -155 odds at the DraftKings app.

    • Super Bowl Predicted Score: 49ers 23-20
    • Best Bet: Under 47.5
    • Favorite Super Bowl Prop Bet: Second Half Under 23.5

This game should be a close, low-scoring affair that comes down to the wire. It is a rematch of Super Bowl 54, and the 49ers are looking to get their revenge. They have been the better team than the Chiefs all season long, but over the past couple of weeks, Kansas City has looked impressive, and San Francisco has had to come back to win both their playoff games.

Despite that, the 49ers still have the better roster, so I give them the slight edge. Kansas City’s defense is a talented unit, but San Francisco’s playmakers should still be productive, especially getting an extra week to prepare and game plan. The 49ers defense will need to come to play early on if they want to win their sixth Super Bowl in franchise history.

While I like the 49ers to win and cover, I feel much better about the under. The total might have soared over in last year’s Super Bowl, but this is a much different Chiefs team. They rely on defense and have been running the ball with Isiah Pacheco much more. The total has also gone under in four of the last five Super Bowls.

Even if the Chiefs score early, they struggle in the second half. Andy Reid has had extra time to scheme and script plays, so Kansas City will most likely find the endzone early in this one. Once the game gets going, however, I expect both defenses to be sharp.

In the AFC Championship game, the Chiefs scored just three points in the second half. The second half total is set at 23.5, and I do not see more than three total touchdowns being scored in the second half of what should be a tight ball game. Second half unders are 18-2 in Kansas City’s 20 games this season, so I am rolling with that trend to continue.

    Bob Duff – Sports Writer

    • Super Bowl Predicted Score: Chiefs 27-17
    • Best Bet: Chiefs (+2.5)
    • Favorite Super Bowl Prop Bet: Christian McCaffrey anytime touchdown

It’s simple – the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes. That’s the difference maker. Kansas City has won this season with its’ defense. Every time the 49ers have faced a stingy defense this season, they’ve struggled.

Also, McCaffrey has proven to be a TD scoring machine since donning the red, white and gold of the 49ers.

In 37 games with San Francisco, McCaffrey has wound up breaking the plane of the goal line for six points on 33 occasions. He’s played six postseason games over his NFL career. In each of those games, McCaffrey has scored a TD.

In this year’s two playoff games for the 49ers, McCaffrey has accounted for two TDs in each of the games.

    • Super Bowl Predicted Score: Chiefs 23-20
    • Best Bet: Under 47.5 Points
    • Favorite Super Bowl Prop Bet: George Kittle Under 51.5 Receiving Yards

I’m leaning towards the Chiefs as the side to play in Super Bowl 58, but my most confident pick is the under of 47.5 points. I think the Kansas City defense will ultimately be the star of this game. This unit finished second in points allowed (17.2) during the regular and held dynamic Miami and Baltimore’s offenses to 10 points and under in the postseason.

Kansas City’s elite defense is a key reason I’ve also selected the “under” on George Kittle’s receiving yards prop as my best NFL player props. The Chiefs allowed the third-fewest receiving yards to tight ends this season, and recently held prominent TEs Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid, and Mark Andrews each to 45 receiving yards or fewer.

The public loves to bet the “Over” in the Super Bowl, as exemplified in the NFL public betting trends. However, there’s been a trend of lower-scoring Super Bowls, with the “under” hitting in four of the last five Super Bowls. Furthermore, the under is on a 5-1 run in KC games, primarily due to the team’s stifling defense.

I expect both teams to rely heavily on their run games Sunday, especially the 49ers, which will help run out the game clock. The Super Bowl total has actually come down a half point from its 48 opening number despite the public betting the other way, and a few of the sharper books even have it sitting at 47 now.

  • What should I bet for the Super Bowl? As we get closer to the Big Game on Sunday, many are wondering what is the best bet to make for Super Bowl 58. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered with expert best bets for the Super Bowl featuring San Francisco vs Kansas City.

Identifying value in the Super Bowl betting lines is only part of the equation, however, as Super Bowl promotions are also the key to being profitable this weekend. Many of the top NFL betting apps in North America are running can’t-miss sign-up offers for the Big Game on Sunday.

Here are the best bets to make for the Super Bowl, along with sportsbook promos to use.

    Best Bets Super Bowl 58

    Super Bowl Bet Odds Sportsbook
    Chiefs Spread +2 -110 BetMGM
    Under 47.5 Points -110 FanDuel
Isiah Pacheco Anytime Touchdown -120 Bet365

Our Super Bowl best bets include the Chiefs covering the spread, the game going under the total and Isiah Pacheco recording a touchdown. We break these best bets down in further detail for you below.

The San Francisco 49ers are currently small favorites over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl odds.

What Should I Bet for the Super Bowl?

    Spread

One of our Super Bowl best bets is for the Kansas City Chiefs to cover the +2 spread against the San Francisco 49ers. This means the Chiefs will need to win the game outright or lose by less than two points.

The key matchup advantage for Kansas City is their run offense against the 49ers run defense. They have allowed a whopping 159 yards per game on the ground this postseason, which is the most allowed by any Super Bowl finalist since 1966. KC ranks fifth in postseason rushing yardage and features a gamebreaker on the ground in Isiah Pacheco.

    Game Total

We are betting the 49ers vs Chiefs Super Bowl game to go Under the posted total of 47.5 points. The total has come down despite the public betting the “over” in the NFL public betting trends. This indicates that the professional bettors are on the other side.

Four of the past five Super Bowls have cashed the under, and five of the past six Chiefs games have also gone under the total. With KC’s defense allowing just 17.3 points per contest and the 49ers likely to rely heavily on their run game, we don’t predict the two teams combine for 47.5 Points.

    Player Prop

Given the projected matchup advantage for Kansas City in the ground game, we are targeting Chiefs #1 RB Isiah Pacheco in our Super Bowl player props. You can bet Pacheco to record a touchdown at -120 odds at Bet365 Sportsbook, which we feel is great value.

Pacheco has rushed for a touchdown in four straight playoff games, including the Super Bowl last February, and he is riding a streak of seven straight games with a touchdown heading into this matchup. If you’re unsure of how to make this bet, learn what is a TD prop bet.

The three-leg combination on this same-game parlay offers a betting line of +320. A successful $10 play would deliver a payday of $32.00.

Chiefs vs 49ers Same-Game Parlay Pick #1: Chiefs Point Spread

Being set as the underdog, the Chiefs have the 49ers right where they want them. Kansas City owns a perfect record as a betting underdog this season.

The Chiefs are 3-0 both straight up and against the spread when not the choice of the oddsmakers. In fact, KC is 6-0 ATS over the club’s past six games as an underdog.

In last year’s big game, Kansas City edged the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 after kicking off as the 1.5-point underdog. The Chiefs are 2-1 SU and ATS as the underdog in Super Bowl games. Overall, underdogs are 3-0 ATS and 2-1 SU in the last three Super Bowls.

In the last five Super Bowls in which the NFC kicked off as the chalk, the NFC clubs are 1-4 SU and 0-5 ATS.

Kansas City vs San Francisco SGP Pick #2: Christian McCaffrey Anytime Touchdown

Likely to no one’s surprise, at DraftKings Sportsbook McCaffrey is the most bet on of any player in the Super Bowl anytime TD market. He’s proven to be a TD scoring machine since donning the red, white and gold of the 49ers.

Want one of the best Super Bowl promos to use this weekend? Get the DraftKings promo code here.

Chiefs vs 49ers Same-Game Parlay Pick #3: Isiah Pacheco Anytime Touchdown

He might not be getting the fanfare that is afforded to McCaffrey, but Pacheco is equally effective as an end zone magnet for the Chiefs. Over Kansas City’s past seven games, he’s scored a TD in every one of them.

Pacheco’s seven-game scoring streak began on November 26 in a road game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. That’s the same place he’ll be playing on Super Bowl Sunday. And he wound up with two TDs that day.

Pacheco has accounted for at least one TD in every game since. And he’s steadily become a bigger piece of the Kansas City offense. In three of the Chiefs’ past four games, he’s had a minimum of 25 touches.

The KC RB has TDs in each of his past four postseason games. That includes a one-yard rush for a score in last year’s Super Bowl game against the Eagles.

  • Who will win the 2024 Super Bowl MVP award on Sunday?
  • The latest odds favor Patrick Mahomes over Brock Purdy
  • Below, see the full Super Bowl MVP odds, expert picks and longshots

  • The 2024 Super Bowl MVP will be Patrick Mahomes or Brock Purdy, according to oddsmakers in Las Vegas. They’ve set the two Super Bowl quarterbacks as the favorites for the MVP trophy, giving a slight edge to the Kansas City pivot.

Super Bowl MVP trends support the notion that a quarterback will win the 2024 trophy. That doesn’t mean there aren’t longshots to consider, including Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who could have a monster game in front of his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Let’s look at the latest Super Bowl MVP odds, as we determine the best bets and longshots to consider.

    Super Bowl MVP Odds

    Player (Team) Odds
    Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs) +145
    Brock Purdy (49ers) +230
    Christian McCaffrey (49ers) +450
    Travis Kelce (Chiefs) +1200
    Isiah Pacheco (Chiefs) +2200
    Deebo Samuel (49ers) +2500
    Brandon Aiyuk (49ers) +5000
    Rashee Rice (Chiefs) +6600
    George Kittle (49ers) +8000
    Chris Jones (Chiefs) +12500
    Nick Bosa (49ers) +12500
    L’Jarius Sneed (Chiefs) +17500
    Fred Warner (49ers) +20000
    Sam Darnold (49ers) +30000

In the current Super Bowl MVP odds, Patrick Mahomes is the +145 favorite, giving him a 40.8% implied chance to repeat as the MVP winner.

    Mahomes Favored Over Purdy

Despite San Francisco being slight favorites in the Super Bowl odds, it’s KC quarterback Patrick Mahomes who is the Super Bowl MVP favorite. The two-time Super Bowl champion is priced at +145 in the latest MVP odds, which has lengthened from his +120 price following conference championships.

It’s not surprising to see Mahomes favored, as the KC pivot has already won the award twice in his career, including in Super Bowl 57 against the Eagles. He’s the leader of this Chiefs offense and on his way to potentially overtaking Tom Brady as the greatest to ever do it.

Brock Purdy isn’t far behind Mahomes in the odds, sitting at +230 at BetMGM. “Mr. Irrelevant” has exceeded expectations since taking over the 49ers starting QB role, leading his team to the Big Game as the final draft pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. While Mahomes has Super Bowl experience, this will be Purdy’s first go-around.

When picking between Mahomes and Purdy for MVP, we can’t help but lean towards the veteran. It’s hard to envision a Chiefs victory without Mahomes being the driving catalyst. If the 49ers, however, we could envision elite running back Christian McCaffrey being the star of the show.

Super Bowl MVP Public Betting  Splits

The betting public is betting against the trend of quarterbacks winning the Super Bowl MVP, as of Sunday afternoon, DraftKings is reporting 29% of their handle and 22% of their bets counts coming in on 49ers’ running back Chrtistian McCaffrey for Super Bowl MVP.

Furthermore, Travis Kelce, another non-QB, is second in both categories with 15% of the public support.

Super Bowl MVP betting splits from DraftKings

    Super Bowl MVP Trends

Quarterbacks have dominated the Super Bowl MVP award, winning it 32 times out of 57 Super Bowls (over 55%). The last non-quarterback to win was wide receiver Cooper Kupp in 2022 (Super Bowl 56). Recently, the dominance has become more pronounced, with a quarterback winning seven of the past ten MVP awards.

    Recent Super Bowl MVP Winners

Year Position – MVP Winner Team Final Score
2023 QB – Patrick Mahomes Kansas City Chiefs 38-35
2022 WR – Cooper Kupp Los Angeles Rams 23-20
2021 QB – Tom Brady Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-9
2020 QB – Patrick Mahomes Kansas City Chiefs 31-20
2019 WR – Julian Edelman New England Patriots 13-3
2018 QB – Nick Foles Philadelphia Eagles 41-33
2017 QB – Tom Brady New England Patriots 34-28
2016 LB – Von Miller Denver Broncos 24-10
2015 QB – Tom Brady New England Patriots 28-24
2014 LB – Malcolm Smith Seattle Seahawks 43-8

What’s interesting about the Super Bowl MVP trends is the running back position. 49ers back Christian McCaffrey was recently named NFL Offensive Player of the Year after leading the league with 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. No running back has won Super Bowl MVP since 1998, but McCaffrey’s dual-threat ability gives him a chance.

For those considering betting Travis Kelce to win Super Bowl MVP, consider that no tight end has ever won Super Bowl MVP. Kelce’s popularity and connection to Taylor Swift provide a unique storyline in this game. Would the league give him the trophy over Mahomes if both players balled out?

One final trend to note is that the Super Bowl MVP is almost always on the winning team. The only instance of a losing player winning Super Bowl MVP was in 1971 when Dallas Cowboys linebacker Chuck Howley took home the honor after falling to the Baltimore Colts 16-13 on a late field goal.

    Super Bowl MVP Longshot Picks

When it comes to Super Bowl longshot picks, we don’t hate the idea of sprinkling some money down on Travis Kelce at +1200. However, he isn’t really a true longshot, as he’s the fourth betting choice at BetMGM. You might be better off checking out the Taylor Swift props for some fun Kelce prop wagers.

We really like the value on Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco at +2200 on BetMGM. San Francisisco’s run defense is among the worst in Super Bowl history, allowing a staggering 5.6 yards per carry. San Francisco has also allowed five rushing TDs in two playoff games, getting exposed by star RBs such as David Montgomery of the Lions.

Pacheco is averaging 19.5 carries this postseason, including 4.2 yards per carry. He’s punched in a TD in two consecutive playoff games, and should be a major difference maker Sunday. The volume should be there, as he’s averaged 21.8 touches for 94.4 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown per game in the postseason.

How to Watch San Francisco vs Kansas City

Viewers in the United States can watch Super Bowl 58 on Sunday on CBS, while viewers in Canada can watch on DAZN or TSN.

    49ers vs Chiefs Head-to-Head History

The most recent game between these teams came two years ago in 2022 with Kansas City going to San Francisco and winning 44-23. Patrick Mahomes threw for 423 yards and three touchdowns, while Jimmy Garoppolo was still the 49ers’ QB at the time and had 303 yards and two touchdown passes himself.

But obviously the biggest profile recent matchup came in 2020 with the Chiefs coming back from 20-10 down heading into the fourth quarter and pulling off a 31-20 comeback to win Super Bowl 54.

49ers vs Chiefs Public Betting Trends

In NFL public betting, the public is piling up on the defending champion Chiefs who are 2-point underdogs no matter how you look at it. If you’re looking at Super Bowl spread bets, the public is backing Kansas City with 70% of the money and 78% of the bets. To win straight up, moneyline wagers are also on Mahomes and KC at 74% and 65% of the money and bet counts respectively.

Totals bettors had been of the mind that there will be points scored in the game with 59% of the money and 72% of the bets coming in on Over 47.5 as of Saturday. But, switch over to game-day and the Under has become the way more popular choice in Super Bowl betting public betting.

Today, 63% of the money and 76% of the bets are backing Under 47.5.

    49ers Betting Preview

For all of their dominance over the course of the regular season, San Franciso has had to do something they didn’t do all season to get their past two playoff wins. And that was to come back from a second-half deficit and go on to win.

    The 49ers were 12-5 in the regular season and those wins came by 23, 7, 18, 19, 32, 31, 13, 18, 23, 12, 16 and 17 points.

But in the Divisional Round versus the Packers they were down 21-14 entering the fourth quarter before a 52-yard Jake Moody field goal and a late Christian McCaffrey touchdown put them ahead 24-21. McCaffrey had two touchdowns in the game and Brock Purdy threw for 252 yards and 1 touchdown.

In the AFC Title Game the 49ers were again slow out of the gates and in fact looked dead in the water at halftime down 24-7. But five straight scores in the second half put them ahead 34-24. The final score will say 34-31 after a late Lions’ touchdown in the final minute, but make no mistake about it, the Lions’ collapsed in the second half. And if you’re looking to make more Super Bowl prop bets, keep in mind that both of these teams scored three or more times straight in many games this season.

McCaffrey scored another two touchdowns against the Lions and has still scored a touchdown in all six of his career playoff games. It won’t pay much, but CMC is almost free money when thinking about what is a TD prop bet to make for this weekend’s 49ers vs Chiefs props.

Purdy was 20-31 for 267 yards and 1 TD, and despite nursing a shoulder injury, Deebo Samuel came off the 49ers injury report and caught eight passes for 89 yards.

    Chiefs Betting Preview

Whether San Fran suffers another slow start or not, may not be as much of an issue against the Chiefs. Kansas City averaged just 21.8 PPG (15th) during the regular season and in their ten wins they won by 8, 31, 3, 7, 11, 14, 7, 14, 10, 8 and 1 points.

Since beating the Chargers 31-17 on October 22, the Chiefs only other double-digit wins came over offensively inept teams in the Raiders and Patriots.

That changed in the Wild Card Playoffs where they beat up on an injured Dolphins team to the tune of 26-7.

Kansas City played out a back-and-forth affair in Buffalo in the Divisional Round with the lead changing six times from the middle of the second quarter onwards. The Bills entered the fourth quarter up 24-20 but Isiah Pacheco scored the only touchdown and points in the fourth quarter and the Chiefs eliminated the Bills from postseason play again winning 27-24.

In the AFC Title Game versus the Ravens, points were at a premium and a Pacheco second quarter touchdown that put KC up 14-7, would prove to be enough to secure the win as the Chiefs went on to win 17-10, a result certainly aided by Ravens’ turnovers. Baltimore lost two fumbles and Lamar Jackson was picked off once.

    49ers vs Chiefs Prediction

When looking at historical Super Bowl point spreads and totals, there is not much to separate favorites and underdogs and overs and unders. Super Bowl favorites hold a slight, slight edge all-time at 28-27-2, but totals have an even split at 28-28. However, of late, underdogs are 3-0 and the Under is 4-1 in recent Super Bowls. With a point spread this short, you should also not worry much about whether to take the spread or the moneyline in your Super Bowl picks. Typically, the Super Bowl winning team also covers the spread, being 48-7-2.

Looking at these teams individually, the Chiefs have been one of the highest Under teams this season at 14-6, and are 5-1 to the Under in their past six.

That number is even more skewed to the Under in the second halves of games, where they are 18-2 to second half unders, The fourth quarter has seen them go 19-1 to the Under.

In against the spread picks, the Chiefs are 12-7-1 ATS this year in the regular season and playoffs combined. But they come into the Super Bowl as covering machines, having done so in all three playoff games and in five straight overall.

The 49ers are more of an Over team at 11-8 but have been an even 2-2 in their past four games.

In ATS picks, a streak of 2-5 has brought their season record to just 9-10 and they’ve failed to cover the spread in both playoff games.

The 49ers have scored 20 or more points in 10 of their past 11 games, falling just short once, losing 33-19 to the Ravens. As good as their defense has been, they have also given up 21 or more points in five of their past six games.

Chiefs’ games, obviously by the nature of playing in many lower scoring games, have been tight games. Of their six losses, only one came by more than eight points and that came in a Mahomes flu game in Denver. They’ve only given up 21 or more points five times this season, only once in their past eight games and never more than 27.

The 49ers’ near clean bill of health on the 49ers vs Chiefs injury report bodes well for some straight up trends in their favor when all of their stars are in the lineup. With Purdy. Samuel and McCaffrey all playing the full game, San Fran is 15-1 SU, compared to just 6-5 when they don’t play the full game.

But then there’s the Mahomes factor. Mahomes is 10-1-1 as an underdog in his career and is 14-3 SU in the playoffs with his only losses coming to Tom Brady twice and Joe Burrow once.

I don’t think there is a wrong take on this game. San Fran has been the better team over the full course of the season and have a higher number of impact players. But the Chiefs have been the better team right now, which is what matters most. They have the experience, a human cheat code in Mahomes and have proved capable of shutting down the run in recent weeks which is the 49ers biggest strength. Only once in their last five games and twice in their past eight games have the Chiefs given up over 100 yards on the ground to opposing running backs.

This year’s Super Bowl features a rematch of Super Bowl 54 between the 49ers and the Chiefs. Kansas City got the edge in that one as Patrick Mahomes won his first Lombardi Trophy. Mahomes is now looking for his third Super Bowl victory this season. While some similarities remain from 2020, each of these teams is vastly different from the 2020 season.

    Crazy Super Bowl Same-Game Parlay

    49ers/Chiefs Under 47.5 -110
Isiah Pacheco Anytime Touchdown Scorer -120

Travis Kelce Over 6.5 Receptions -150
Patrick Mahomes 25+ Alt. Rushing Yards -136
    PARLAY ODDS +7729

Odds as of Feb. 10 at the FanDuel Sportsbook app. This Super Bowl same-game parlay was created using their SGP feature. You may see slightly different odds for the individual legs, but the same-game parlay should still add up to approximately +7729.

The 49ers are slight favorites when it comes to the Super Bowl odds, but this six-leg, +7729 same-game parlay features much more than just who will win the big game. You do not want to miss the analysis behind this same-game parlay, as a $10 wager would win $772.94 if every leg hits.

Super Bowl SGP Pick #1: 49ers Moneyline

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have been fantastic as underdogs, and that is hard to ignore, but the 49ers still have the more complete roster. San Fransisco has gotten off to slow starts in each of their two playoff games this season, but I expect with the extra time off, they will be ready to go in this one.

Kyle Shanahan has seemed to take a turn this season when it comes to game management, and that has been proven in the comeback victories over the Packers and the Lions. Kansas City’s defense has been a strong unit all season long, but Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, and co. will help Shanahan get over the hump in what should be a close game. The 49ers get their revenge for the 2020 Super Bowl.

Super Bowl SGP Pick #2: Under 47.5

Kansas City’s defense is one of the best in the league, and even though Patrick Mahomes and the offense have improved of late, the defense is why the Chiefs are playing in this game. Kansas City will have a game plan in place to limit San Francisco’s playmakers. The 49ers defense has struggled lately, but this is where they turn it around and improve. Per the 49ers vs Chiefs injury report, Joe Thuney is out for the Chiefs, which will help the 49ers get consistent pressure on Mahomes.

The Chiefs are great at scripting opening drives, so Kansas City will likely score early, but they have struggled to score in the second half. In fact, second half unders are 18-2 in Chiefs games this season. Four of the last five Super Bowls have gone under, and this one will be no different.

Super Bowl SGP Pick #3: Pacheco Anytime Touchdown

Isiah Pacheco has been on a tear recently. Pacheco has scored a touchdown in every playoff game this season as well as in seven straight games total. The 49ers defense has been susceptible to the run this year, giving Pacheco a good opportunity to get in the endzone again.

Andy Reid is known for coming up with tricky plays when the Chiefs get close to the goalline, but with the way Pacheco runs, he has given the ball to the running back in the redzone more than in years past. At -120 odds, Pacheco has the second-best odds to score a touchdown in the Super Bowl just behind Christian McCaffrey.

Super Bowl SGP Pick #4: Deebo Anytime Touchdown

If the 49ers want to win this game, they need to get Deebo Samuel involved. Samuel is fresh off an eight-reception game where he also had three rushes. His versatility always makes him a worthy candidate for getting in the endzone.

With Shanahan getting extra time to prepare, Samuel should be a large part of the game plan against Kansas City’s strong defense. He should see plenty of touches, especially as they get closer to the endzone.

Super Bowl SGP Pick #5: Kelce Over 6.5 Receptions

Travis Kelce has been Mahomes’s favorite target for years, especially in the playoffs. For part of this season, it seemed like Kelce could be slowing down, but those murmurs have quickly been put to bed due to his recent performances. Kelce just had 11 receptions for 116 yards in the AFC Championship against the Ravens.

In what should be a close game, Mahomes will feed his most trusted receiver and get Kelce to over seven receptions. Kelce has had at least seven receptions in two of his last three games. This is one of the strongest player props to include in any same-game parlay.

Super Bowl SGP Pick #6: Mahomes 25+ Rushing Yards

Patrick Mahomes has been known to run the ball in big games. In his three Super Bowl appearances, Mahomes has run for 29, 33, and 44 yards, all of which top the 25+ number.

In this crazy Super Bowl same-game parlay, we have the 49ers winning, so we do not need to worry about the kneeling factor for Mahomes in this one.

    Blue +375
    Yellow/Green/Lime +375

The current Gatorade-dump odds have purple as a slight favorite at +275 odds, having adjusted since opening at +225. Right behind purple comes orange, the other color having been used in the past by the Chiefs, with +325 odds, having risen steadily since opening at +500.

    Gatorade Odds Movement

Since Gatorade odds opened up, purple has held firm at the top favorite, though has dipped from +225 on January 31 to +275 today.

Blue was the second-betting choice at the BetMGM app at that time at +275, but has been usurped by orange at +325 today. That’s a big move for orange being previously priced at +500.

Blue has dipped in the odds to +375, while yellow/green remains a contender, and has shortened from +450 to +375.

The remaining Gatorade odds movement has seen red/pink shorten from +500 to +400, clear/water lengthen from +1000 to +1100 and no Gatorade bath adjusted from +3000 to +2000. Clearly some bettors are banking on both coaches escaping the sidelines and dodging the bath should their team come out victorious.

All that said, we’re summarizing the odds at BetMGM, but be sure to shop around at the top Super Bowl betting apps as prices will vary. For instance, if you’re siding with purple, FanDuel is currently offering the best price at +380.

    Gatorade Public Betting Splits

Despite purple being the most-favored Gatorade color, the Gatorade public betting splits from DraftKings are showing that the public is piling up on orange and red.

Orange has 23% of the handle and 24% of the bets, while red has 22% of the handle and 23% of the bets.

Purple is seeing just 13% and 8% in those categories respecticely.

Gatorade color public betting splits from DraftKings.

    Gatorade Color History

Last year the Chiefs won the Super Bowl and dumped purple Gatorade on Andy Reid. In Super Bowl 54 when they won against the San Francisco 49ers, it was orange. No real trend there.

With purple cashing in Super Bowl Gatorade props for bettors last year, it became the first time since Super Bowl 46 where purple was used. Purple has actually only been the winning color of Gatorade three times in the past 20 years.

Purple was also the biggest underdog for a color (not including clear or no gatorade bath) to be used by the Super Bowl winner last season, priced at +750 when it cashed last year. So there’s some proof that the favorites don’t always cash.

Blue has been the color of Gatorade at the Super Bowl to be dumped on the winning coach the most in recent years having cashed in three of the past five Super Bowls and four of the past nine. All-time, blue has come in the fourth-most times.

Orange has been used in five of the past 14 Super Bowls.

Clear has been the outcome the most times at eight, but hasn’t been the color of champions since Super Bowl 42 in 2008.

    Super Bowl Gatorade Odds Prediction

While this betting market is a great way to add a thrill to the final seconds of the Super Bowl, it is nearly impossible to truly form an educated guess on this betting market. With the Chiefs having used two separate colors  in recent seasons, plus the unknown of the favored 49ers, trends are not entirely reliable for any bets placed.

Additionally, with the Chiefs and 49ers both having red in their jerseys and the Chiefs having chosen to wear red jerseys for the game, it would make sense for it to be used by at least one side of this matchup.

While there’s ultimately no real way of knowing, we are putting our money down on red/pink for this year’s Super Bowl Gatorade bath.

This would be juicy winning wager, currently slated at +400 odds (4-1), meaning a $10 wager would net you a profit of $40.

    Gatorade Color Pick: Red/Pink (+400)

FanDuel Same-Game Parlay $30 in Bonus Bets Offer

The bonus for FanDuel SGP promo for this Sunday, offers you up to $30 in bonus bets to take advantage of.

All you need to do is cumulatively place $50 or more in pre-live SGP wagers of 3+ legs on the 49ers vs Chiefs which total odds of at least +200, and you’ve receive $30 in bonus bets paid out in three $10 bonus bets.

There is also the option to place $20 cumulatively in pre-live SGP wagers with the same criteria to receive a smaller bonus of $10 in bonus bets.

Either way, you’ve receive your bonus bets whether you win or lose your initial SGP wager. So how can we get there?

Well, here’s one way to do it. Let’s say you feel strongly about the 49ers. If you do, you’re likely to see Christian McCaffrey finding the endzone, it’s something he’s done in 15/18 games this season. It would also be conceivable that he racks up the yards on the ground and could finish with 90 or more yards. That’s something he’s done in both playoff games and in seven of his past eight games. Include those three selections into you FanDuel SGP and you have +214 odds.

    • 49ers -2.5 (-105)
    • Christian McCaffrey anytime TD (-230)
    • Christian McCaffrey 90+ rushing yards (-128)
    • Total Odds: (+214)

In addition to the SBD158  offer for new users that lets you claim a Bet $5, Get $158 in Bonus Bets Offer this weekend, the BetMGM app also has a sweet SGP promo.

This promo allows you to boost your 49ers vs Chiefs SGP by 58% with a boost token.

There are all kinds of ways to create a same-game parlay. And with this boost, you could swing for the fences and boost up an SGP at long odds even longer, or create something simple and use the boost to bump it up to better odds.

Here is an example where we’re simply asking both teams to score 1+ touchdown, 1+ field goal and for Patrick Mahomes to throw for 1+ touchdown. Two of those could get checked off in one play and throwing for one TD is something Mahomes has done in all but one game this season.

    • Both Teams Over 0.5 TDs
    • Both Teams Over 0.5 FGs
    • Patrick Mahomes 1+ Passing Touchdowns
    • Total Odds: -148 (Plus add in 58% Boost)
